Amenities

Highbourne Cay’s marina basin and pristine beaches are the most conspicuous and well-known natural amenities of the island. They put Highbourne Cay on the map over half a century ago and have contributed significantly to repeat visitation over the years.

Start your visit at the Marina Office - the hub of activity on Highbourne Cay. All visitor needs are coordinated there.

Old and new visitors are always impressed with the well-stocked grocery and liquor store - both a stone's throw from the Marina. Year round, Highbourne's intrepid and resourceful managers ensure basic dry goods, produce, dairy products, frozen foods, and even bait are always in supply. It is not unusual to hear guests comment that Highbourne's store is better stocked than counterparts in New Providence. The store also carries branded t-shirts and hats, Bahamian books, and numerous gift items handmade in The Bahamas.

While a common visitor intention is to "get away from it all" on Highbourne Cay, guests can easily stay in touch with family, friends and office through the island's high-speed wireless internet. And the 300-foot communications tower on the island makes international mobile phone calls a breeze.

“Cool Runners Catering Service” can be called on VHF Channel 16 to provide sumptuous Bahamian dishes, freshly baked bread, and delicious cakes. These are delivered to your boat in the evening.

Ever conscious of doing its part to protect the environment, Highbourne has a recycling program in place. Please help recycle aluminum cans and Kalik, Sands, Heineken and Vita Malt bottles by utilizing clearly marked bins.
